(Hereafter referred to as Refurb)
A final purchase agreement with Refurb has only been entered into when you have received an order confirmation from Refurb. In the event of delays, backorders or out-of-stock items, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Your items will be delivered with the necessary accessories to use the goods. On this occasion, Refurb draws attention to the fact that computer hardware and software are particularly complicated products and that the products sold by Refurb are mainly produced abroad.
1.1. Purchase of items with Windows 10
Windows 10 will be installed on a computer purchased from Refurb unless no operating system or OSX is selected during the purchase process.
For all items pre-installed with software from the Windows 10 family, the following applies:
- If a product with a DirectX 9 class graphics processor (GPU) is purchased, the graphics processor will only support DirectX 9. Some games and programs may require DirectX 10 or higher for better performance and graphics. www.windows.com/upgrade can be checked for further details.
- Some Windows 10 Home and Pro features – such as Windows Ink, Windows Hello, and Cortana, etc. – require advanced hardware, and there may be products where these features cannot be used.
- All products from the Windows 10 family, e.g. Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional, are automatically updated. This will always be on and may cause charges from ISP providers depending on the method by which the product is connected to the Internet. Additional update requirements may be added over time.
- The built-in Cortana feature in Windows 10 is currently not available outside of the following countries: the US, UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, India, Italy, Germany, Japan and Spain.
- Any item sold that is not equipped with an Intel Skylake or next-generation silicon-based chip and that is equipped with a Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 installation, either outright or in the form of a Windows 10 Professional version downgraded to Windows 7 or 8.1 Pro, has only limited support from Microsoft. - Any item sold that is equipped with an Intel Skylake or next-generation silicon-based chip and that is equipped with a Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 installation, either directly or in the form of a Windows 10 Professional version downgraded to Windows 7 or 8.1 Pro, has only limited support from Microsoft. More information on this can be found in Microsoft's Support Lifecycle FAQ.
1.2. Compatibility with third-party goods or software
Refurb cannot be held responsible for compatibility problems resulting from changes in the configuration of Refurb's composite components. Furthermore, Refurb cannot be held responsible for any issues with printer drivers, USB devices, or the like that third parties provide.
1.3. Misinvoicing or errors in shipping information
If the customer provides incorrect information regarding the purchase, Refurb will charge DKK 100 for re-invoicing.
1.4. Sold out items and delayed delivery time
Reservations are made for out-of-stock items and delayed delivery times at Refurb's wholesalers. Further reservations are made that errors in product information and -images may occur due to automatic updating of the website.
Unless otherwise stated, all prices will include 25% Danish VAT and be stated in euro (€). If you act as a company, there will be products where reverse VAT will be applicable. In that case, this will appear on your invoice.
The stated price at the time of ordering will be valid unless there is a typographical or price error.
2.1. Price error
If a price is obviously incorrect, and you should reasonably have discovered this, Refurb is not obliged to deliver the product in question at the stated price.
3. Payment Methods
Refurb receives payment with different payment options:
- Debit card – including Dankort, MasterCard and VISA.
- MobilePay – only avilable for Danish customers.
- Electronic invoice – only applies to companies with EAN numbers.
- ViaBill – only avilable for Danish customers.
When paying with an international debit card (MasterCard, Visa, etc.), the payment will result in a reservation on the card until the amount is withdrawn when the items are dispatched.
Accepting these terms and conditions also entails an acceptance that this reservation will occur when paying with international debit cards.
3.1. Viabill (only avaliable for Danish customers)
When purchasing through ViaBill, you must be approved to purchase with ViaBill as a payment method. This can be done during checkout on this webshop. Viabill offers a credit service, where depending on the credit limit, you pay from DKK 0/month to pay off between 4-24 payments at a fixed monthly price for the agreement. Further information about ViaBill and what they offer can be found at www.viabill.com/dk/.
Please note that Refurb only processes orders with prior authorization or receipt of payment unless you, as a company, have created an account with credit. The amount is only debited to your card when the item is shipped.
4. Shipping and delivery
Orders at Refurb are usually dispatched within 2-5 working days. You can choose how you want your item(s) delivered. Parcels in Denmark are sent with GLS. Availability of specific carriers and pricing dependant on carrier choice when shipping to other countries can always be found during check-out when ordering on the webshop.
You have the following shipping options:
Be aware that deliveries outside the EU may be subject to customs and VAT and that this is paid by the recipient.
Be aware that delivery times after dispatch from the Refurb warehouse will depend upon choice of carrier and delivery country.
5. Guarantee and returns
You always have a 24-month full guarantee at Refurb. This means that Refurb bears the burden of proof in the first two years after you have purchased a Refurb product. Please note that the right of complaint only covers defects that were present at the time of purchase.
The warranty covers the product's standard functionality but does not cover the included batteries and power supply(s) for the product(s).
Batteries and power supplies in/for items purchased will be covered for 12 months from the time of purchase, as these are consumables, and it is therefore expected that they will deteriorate over time.
Power supplies will be replaced if they stop working during the first 12 months.
Batteries will be replaced if they do not live up to the minimum level, we guarantee for the first 12 months. This is based on the product's grade, which can be found on the webshop.
6. Right of Complaint
When purchasing a product from Denmark, you have a 24-month right of complaint cf. Købeloven. If your complaint is justified, you can either get the item repaired, exchanged, the money back or a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation.
6.1. Application and reporting of complaint
You must make a complaint within a "reasonable time" after discovering the defects in your product. If you make a complaint within two months after discovering the fault, the complaint will always be timely. This requires in all circumstances that the complaint is justified and with adequate information. If there is an additional right of complaint or guarantee, it will appear separately on the invoice. If you receive a defective product, you must inform us as soon as possible.
In order to achieve the fastest processing time, we recommend that you report your complaint through Refurb's online form.
The item you are making a complaint about must be sent in complete and proper packaging (preferably the same packaging or similar to the one you received the item in). The item must also be submitted with an RMA number on the outside of the box or at least have a complete error description, invoice, and contact information attached.
Refurb encourages the customer to take a copy/backup of all data. Refurb cannot be held responsible for lost data and other indirect damages that items sold by Refurb may have caused unless it follows directly from Danish legislation.
Goods not covered by the right of complaint and/or received without proper packaging will be repackaged, and an amount corresponding to Refurb's expenses for necessary and proper packaging will be charged. In the event that the item has been damaged during shipping due to improper packaging, Refurb will only correct the specific fault if the fault is not affected by the possible shipping damage.
Refurb covers all shipping costs if the complaint is justified. However, you must contact Refurb before shipping - and we can then assist with a return label, where the freight is paid.
When submitting accessories, media, and the like, please inform us of this through the RMA form. If equipment is listed as included in the RMA form and not included, Refurb will contact you about this.
We do not accept parcels without redistribution or parcels sent cash on delivery.
6.2. Exceptions to the right of complaint
Damage to the product due to operating errors, handling errors, modifications or gross abuse on the user's part is not covered by the right of complaint. This also includes changing the supplied amperage to any relevant component.
The right of complaint does not cover defects in the product caused by installed third-party software. Therefore, always test whether the error can be caused by programs, drivers or other things not originally installed on the product. Refurb tests all items by restoring their original configuration. If they are tested error-free, it will trigger an invoicing of the time work. However, the maximum of one hour, which means DKK 400 excl. VAT.
7. 14-day cooling-off period
As a consumer, you have a 14-day cooling-off period cf. § 18, par. 2, in the Danish Forbrugeraftaleloven. Your 14-day cooling-off period applies from the time you receive the item.
Refurb will cover your shipping costs regarding the return when using the return label provided, provided that you have given notice that you want to cancel your purchase before the item is returned. When you cancel an online purchase, you are liable if the product goes missing or breaks during transportation.
The cooling-off period expires 14 days after the day you have received your item. If you have ordered several different items in one order, but they are delivered individually, the deadline runs from the day you receive the last item.
The deadline means you have 14 days from receipt to inform us that you want to cancel your purchase. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org, use our return form or the standard cancellation form, which you will find at the bottom of the terms and conditions.
You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the item without at the same time giving notice of this.
7.1. Proper return
The following conditions must be followed when returning the item:
- In case of cancellation, the item must follow the standards described in the section 'The condition of the item - when you send it back'. Refurb reserves the right to offset any impairments in proportion to the returned purchase sum.
- Together with the returned goods, the RMA number or, as a minimum, the invoice must be attached with a complete description of the fault.
You are responsible for ensuring that your return package is packed correctly. If it is established that the item has suffered damage due to faulty packaging, you are responsible for any write-downs in value.
If the error occurred during shipping, it is a matter between you as the customer and the shipping company. We only refuse receipt of the package if it has visible signs indicating that the shipping company has caused the damage.
7.2. Cancellation of part of the purchase
If you have purchased several items from us, you can send one or more items back, even if they were purchased in one order.
Note that you will not get the shipping costs back if you cancel part of your purchase.
7.3. Right of withdrawal in business purchases
The same conditions apply for business purchases as for private purchases unless otherwise agreed between the companies as part of the conclusion of a purchase agreement.
Once you have notified us that you want to cancel your purchase, you have 14 days to return the item.
We cover the cost if you contact us and use our return label. However, you must bear the costs yourself if you use another method of return. You are liable if damage occurs during transport.
8.1. The condition of the item when you send it back
You are only liable for any deterioration in the product's value due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the product's nature, characteristics and how it functions. In other words, you can try the product in the same way as if you tried it in a physical store, but you must not take it into actual use.
If the item has been tried in addition to what is described above, we consider it as used, which means that if you cancel the purchase, you will only get a part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the item's commercial value.
We recommend that you send the item back in the original packaging. If the original packaging is missing, this may lead to a decrease in the item's value.
8.2. Refund of the purchase amount
If you cancel your purchase, you will get your money back. If the item is impaired, we deduct the amount you are liable for. We will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (but not extra delivery costs in cases where you have chosen a different form of delivery than the cheapest form of standard delivery that we offer), no later than 14 days from the day on which we have received your notice that you want to cancel the purchase. We return the money with the same means of payment that you used for the purchase unless we have agreed otherwise.
We can withhold payment until we have received the item unless you send us documentation that you have returned it.
You can also cancel the purchase by notifying us. We neither accept parcels without distribution nor parcels sent by cash on delivery.
9. Data processing
Refurb only collects necessary personal information to be able to handle, produce and deliver your order and to ensure the quality of your experience at www.refurb.eu.
However, we use third-party systems to collect anonymized statistics to improve the shopping experience on www.refurb.eu. The only ones who receive information such as name and address are our logistics partners and review services.
Regarding your order, Refurb collects the information entered in the order flow – name, address, postcode, city, telephone number and e-mail address. This information is used only in connection with the handling of your order. It is generally only stored for five years after your last purchase. Your data will then be erased automatically.
If you create a user, we save the information for your user profile to make the ordering process easier for you as a customer.
All data collection and communication between the server and your browser is subject to SSL encryption, which must ensure that all data sent between your device and Refurb's servers is encrypted.
We also collaborate with several other companies that store and process data. The companies only process information on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
We only work with data processors in the EU or countries that can provide your information with sufficient protection.
We never store your payment information in its entirety at Refurb. All card data handling occurs at ePay (Part of Worldline), Refurb's payment gateway. All payments and card information are handled here according to the PCI standard.
10. Personal information

As registered with Refurb, you always have the right to send us your objections to the registration. You also have the right to insight into what information is registered about you. You have these rights according to the Personal Data Act. Inquiries in this regard should be sent to email@example.com.
In accordance with legislation, Refurb stores information about you as a customer for five years, cf. the Accounting Act of 15 June 2006.
11. Appeal process
If you have a complaint about a product purchased on our webshop, you can send a complaint to firstname.lastname@example.org.

12. Do you have doubts or want to cancel an order?
Should any doubts arise, we recommend that you contact us via e-mail so we can resolve any challenges in the best possible way.
13. Discount codes
Discount codes cannot be combined with other codes, discounts or promotions unless otherwise stated.
14. Insurance conditions for IT equipment
If you purchase a 'Totalforsikring' for your IT-equipment (i.e., computers and tablets), certain conditions apply.
